Andere Inspiratie

De eerste film die Alex de Brouwer het eerste aangreep was de originele filmmusical West Side Story (1961) de klassieker Romeo And Juliet van Shakespeare vertaald naar een interculturele liefde in New York in het perspectief van een straatbendecultuur. Later grepen Koyaanisqatsi (1982) en One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (1975) hem zeer aan. Nog later kwamen Indiase films en drie interculturele verliefdheden op zijn pad. Bollywood(geïnspireerde) films bleken zijn zijn beste therapeut, en begrepen hem beter dan menig psychiater of psycholoog, en dit zijn zijn 10 Indiagerelateerde favorieten:
